THE LORD CREATED THE WORLD….AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL - July 24–30, 2012

The Lord’s creations never cease to amaze me.  Whether I am in the desert, on the beach, amongst red rocks, in the tropical areas, I find beauty in all that he has created.   Even the animals in all their varieties have such uniqueness about them.  How can you not be amazed by such creations.  This week I was able to be see many parts of His creations.

Happy July 24th!!!  Dear Terry and Trista are at home running our fireworks tent instead of celebrating.  Siyabonga kakhulu!!!  Appreciate it more than words can express.

Tuesday, July 24 was a wonderful day spent in the southern part of Swaziland.  I got up early and made 90 no-bake drop cookies to take with us to Nhlangano and Gege.  We attended their DTM and Elder Cauble did a fabulous job as the new district leader.  Then we went shopping for a new throw rug for the Gege boarding and a garbage can to hopefully solve the problems of ants where they live.  Then on to Gege we went.  The elders were on splits so Elders Masaya and Sele went with us.  We visited Sister Ntshalintshali – the YW president who has become inactive.  It was great.  She says she is doing better with the passing of her son and promised to come to church on Sunday.  Hopefully, she does.  She greeted us as long-lost friends.  These people are so loving an accepting.  You can’t help but love them back.  Then we went to visit a pastor who has been coming to church – Moses Mdluli.  He is an older man with 13 children.  He was a Zionist pastor but stopped when he started attending our church.  He has such a strong testimony but is worried about all the people that he was their spiritual leader.  He would love to bring them into the gospel but said that they do not speak English and that is how our church preaches.  I told him then we would just have to teach them English.  He is afraid that they are too old for that.  What a struggle for him.  With all the sensitivity of a humble man, he said “Where are we going to build our church? We need a building.”  Never have I heard an investigator ask such a question.  Dennis told him if it was up to him, they would find a place and build it, but told him that we needed men.  Brother Mdluli shook his head and agreed so he is going to work on that.  He called some of his children out to meet us.  He has 8 girls and 5 boys.  Of course, only the youngest are at home.  They were so cute and silly.  Bro. Mdluli agreed with me that girls are silly.  Dennis challenged him with some Book of Mormon scriptures and we told him that we would be back and he asked when.  If I could it would have been the next day.  But we told as soon as we could.  I keep thinking that there is no way I can keep meeting people that affect my life so dramatically, but the Lord just keeps sending them into my life.  My cup runneth over with so many humble people.
