SURROUNDED WITH AN AURA.....SHEILLA GEORGE FROM ZIMBABWE 18 April 2016

On the morning of 16 April 2016 this lovely lady came into the office saying that she was "Mother Christmas" with gifts  I had no idea what she was talking about. But it didn't take long until it was known.  She was delivering presents from friends of ours from Zimbabwe - the Nield family....a beautiful, huge tablecloth and a beaded basket.  Christmas in April is awesome!   She introduced herself as Sheilla George and we visited for quite a while.  Then we had lunch with her in the canteen and found out that she had come to attend the temple for the first time.  This is her story told by her......

"In April 2014 I and my daughter, Claudia, was on holiday in Botswana with my family.  They are my daughter, Chontel who is married to Andre and their daughter called Zoe (12).  Chontel and Andre started telling us of missionaries that had been visiting them.  I found this a big joke as I had been reading about FLDS and their multiple wives.  So we started to tease Andre telling him that when we next met, we would be calling him brother Andre and he would have five wives.

"Also, in April 2014 Andre's father passed away.  Claudia and I traveled to the funeral.  At the funeral we met an amazing man who came an sat with us.  He did not say much but he had such an aura and had such calmness.  We later found out he was Andres father's younger brother from the UK.  His calmness was so shocking to me as his family was going through so much.  Every six weeks this man was coming to Zimbabwe because his brother or nephew had passed away.  And he still had a calmness around him.  Andre later told us that he was a Mormon.

"In August 2014 Claudia went to visit Chontel and Andre in Botswana again.  There she met President Wilson and his wife (Botswana Mission President).  She quickly called me and said, "Mother do you remember the aura and just the light that Andre's uncle had at the funeral?"  I said, "Yes."  She replied, "I have just met the Wilsons who are visiting Chontel and Andre and they have the same aura."  Well, I wanted to have the same peace and aura of these people.

"In the same month Chontel and Zoe came to visit.  Chontel's luggage was full of Latter-Day Saint literature.  I was baptized in January 2015.  And now I am waiting for someone to say they can see the GLOW in me."

Now a year later, on 14 April 2016, she went to the temple for the first time and Sister Wilson was her escort.  I can truly say, that she radiates and has the GLOW.

I love the gospel and how it can change our countenance!!!

"...have ye spiritually been born of God?  Have ye received his image in your countenances?  Have ye experienced this mighty change in your hearts?"
"....can you look up, having the image of God engraven upon your countenances?"  Alma 5:14, 19

Hopefully, someday someone will meet me and know that I am a Mormon just by the aura that surrounds me.
